Frosting started out as a hobby. From building a family, raising the oldest kids on planet, and continuing to balance my career, I wanted a hobby where I could escape the stresses of everyday life - just for a little bit. Something I did for me and my own enjoyment. Yes, I went into this wanting to be selfish. After giving all of my time and energy to all the people in my life, I wanted to focus on me. Little did I know that I’d enjoy this so much, it would consume most of my free time.

The idea of something new to add to a collection, something undiscovered that’s going to make our lives easier or just something that will bring a smile to our face - receiving a gift is an amazing feeling. And we want to bring that experience to you!

Frosting started out as a hobby. Something I did for me and my own enjoyment. Yes, I went into this wanting to be selfish. After giving all of my time and energy to all the people in my life, I wanted to focus on me. Little did I know that I’d enjoy this so much, it would consume most of my free time.

I didn’t start out thinking about a business. I thought crafting was a fun way to get my hands dirty while producing small items that I could use throughout my life and home. Very quickly, the hours spent crafting increased, the tools started to accumulate, and by their nature the Frosts became very interested in what I was doing. Our resident Artist and Designer immediately took an interest in the beautiful paper crafts I created and started showing off - and later selling off - my products to friends and family on FaceTime. She really is the brain behind the operation and the best partner I could ask for. She’s head of marketing, sales lady of the year, and quality assurance expert. She usually leaves the designing to me, but you better believe she’ll pick up her bone folder in a second to help fix or finish a project.

Today we’re paper crafting, but as we continue to grow and bring on more #FrostingFriends like you, who knows what the future may hold. Coming up with an idea, sharing it with my best partner ever, testing it out and producing a beautiful product that even the boys admire, is truly the #Frosting on my cake.

(Read: yes, we have plenty of other ideas up our sleeves. Stay tuned for new product launches and tests, because there’s only so long that Mr. Frost will be able to persuade me to slow down and keep it small.)
